Job Description

Job ID: MJ000371

About Traveloka

Traveloka is Southeast Asia's leading travel and lifestyle super-app. We connect tens of millions of travellers across the region with flights, hotels, experiences, financial services, and more — all from a single platform. Since our founding in 2012, we have expanded to eleven markets, processed billions of dollars in transactions, and built one of the most recognised consumer brands in the region.

We move fast because the region demands it. Southeast Asia is young, mobile-first, and growing faster than almost anywhere else on earth. We are not transplanting a Western playbook — we are writing a new one, from scratch, for a market that does not look like anywhere else — and we are calling for people who want to be part of that.

About the Team

Flight is Traveloka's front door — the business most travelers first use to discover and trust us. Within it, the Flight Commercial team owns the supply and economics that make every fare possible: the airline partnerships, the route portfolio, and the deals that decide whether we win a market or merely compete in it. We defend leadership in our core Southeast Asian markets while opening aggressive new ground across Asia Pacific.

As part of Market Management at the country level, you own a market end to end — the carrier relationships, the route mix, the pricing and inventory that shape what millions of travelers see when they search. You read demand patterns others miss, negotiate hard, and turn local insight into routes and fares that move the business. You sit close to the customer, the carrier, and the numbers, and you move fast.

About the Job

As a Principal / Staff Market Manager in Flight Commercial, you are the most senior individual expert on a major region or carrier group — you set the commercial strategy for your area and drive the toughest outcomes yourself, without managing a team. You are the person leaders turn to when a market has to be won.

  • Develop and implement the operational commercial plan for your region or carrier group, with direct impact on the domain's results
  • Lead the highest-value airline negotiations and partnerships, owning the economics and the relationship
  • Build and continually improve the economics, pricing, and supply frameworks the whole domain depends on
  • Decide where to invest supply effort and where to walk away, based on economics and strategic fit
  • Diagnose and resolve the complex, cross-cutting supply problems that span pricing, product, and operations
  • Shape product, pricing, and operations roadmaps so supply scales structurally across your markets
  • Set the analytical standard for the domain and present a clear point of view to commercial leadership — as an expert, not a people manager

Job Requirements

  • You have at least 5 years in commercial, market management, or supply, with deep expertise in airline connectivity
  • You set an operational strategy for a major market portfolio and turn it into results yourself
  • You own and lead senior airline relationships and the negotiations that shape them
  • You make sharp supply-investment calls and defend them with evidence
  • You solve complex problems that cut across operational and financial dimensions
  • You influence cross-functional leaders to prioritise what your markets need, through expertise and persuasion
  • You set the standard for how the domain uses data and AI to work faster and decide better
  • You hold a relevant degree or an equivalent record of senior commercial expertise, with no requirement to manage people
  • You communicate and persuade fluently in English across partners and executives
  • You have grown a region or carrier portfolio's contribution and can point to the inflection you drove
  • You have deep airline industry relationships you can activate from day one
  • You are the recognised go-to expert on connectivity economics or distribution others come to for answers
