About the Team

Fraud Ops is the front line that keeps Traveloka's financing products safe to use and worth trusting. As we extend credit, instalment, and pay-later options across Southeast Asia, you protect customers and the business from the bad actors who follow the money — investigating suspicious applications, tuning detection rules, and acting on cases before losses compound, all without slowing down the honest traveller who just wants to book their trip.

This is operations with real stakes and real numbers behind it. You will work across markets with very different fraud patterns and credit infrastructure, turn what you see in the field into sharper rules and faster decisions, and partner closely with risk, product, and compliance. If you like chasing signals, owning outcomes, and building defences for a problem that keeps changing, you will have plenty to do here.

About the Job

As an expert individual contributor with no direct reports, you are a fully competent fraud operator — the person other analysts ask when a case is genuinely strange. You are accountable for the calls you make and the course of action they set, working problems that are often vaguely defined and reach into product, risk, and partner-bank territory.

• Perform monitoring on suspicious fraud transactions on payment, promo abuse, and suspect fraud activity on platform, conduct investigation when alert(s) fire to decide whether alerts are correctly identifying fraud, and triage as necessary.
• Conduct investigation on dispute-eligible and potential non-paylater fraud transactions to ensure that fraudulent transactions are correctly rejected and immediate actions taken. When necessary, expand to related accepted fraud transaction(s) to identify transaction patterns and perform immediate actions accurately.
• Handle escalated customer complaints related to payment and platform fraud and perform required investigations and perform immediate action required.
• Respond in timely manner towards fraud reports escalated by Traveloka internal party on potential suspicious dispute-eligible and other non-Paylater transactions reports. Immediate actions shall be performed once investigation concludes. When required and in timely manner, escalate to Fraud Analytics to analyze transaction patterns.

Job Requirements

• You have at 1 - 3 years in fraud payments, or lending operations and have personally owned investigations that mattered
• You make confident, well-reasoned decisions independently and document them to an audit standard
• You influence partners and stakeholders with evidence, not authority, and get fixes shipped
• You communicate clearly and persuasively in English, in writing and in person
• You work fluidly across multiple markets, rule sets, and regulatory contexts
• Worked across more than one Southeast Asian lending market and understand how local fraud and regulation differ is a plus
