As the Engineering Manager for Cloud Platform, you will lead the Traveloka Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Engineering team. Beyond a strong foundation in large-scale cloud-native architecture, you will bring exceptional team management, strategic planning, and cross-border collaboration skills. Working closely with tech leaders across business units, you will directly oversee company-wide system reliability, technical standards, and infrastructure cost decisions to build a high-performing, cohesive platform engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and empower the Cloud Platform Engineering team, setting clear team and individual performance goals, providing coaching and career development plans, and continuously raising overall engineering efficiency and team cohesion.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and business stakeholders to formulate long-term cloud platform technical roadmaps, leading the smooth migration of legacy infrastructure to Kubernetes architecture across public clouds (AWS, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud).
• Guide the team in maintaining multi-tenant K8s clusters and adopting Terraform/IaC standards across multi-region and multi-cloud environments; make informed technical trade-offs among reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Lead the team in building platform-level automation and developer self-service tools to streamline application deployment workflows; thoughtfully integrate AI-assisted engineering tools to boost company-wide delivery velocity.
• Establish and optimize major incident response frameworks and post-mortem procedures, guiding the team to identify architectural and operational bottlenecks and eradicate systemic issues.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud platform / infrastructure engineering, including 3+ years in engineering management with a proven track record of managing and mentoring mid-to-senior level engineers.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in production Kubernetes operations and architecture, with a deep understanding of public cloud container services (e.g., AWS EKS, Alibaba Cloud ACK) and multi-region high-availability architecture design.
• Demonstrated track record of driving Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards across teams; proficient in Go or Python development to guide the team in building developer self-service tools.
• Strong technical planning and task decomposition skills, with the ability to translate business strategy into actionable technical roadmaps while balancing delivery timelines, architectural quality, and cost optimization.
• Proven experience acting as an Incident Commander in high-traffic, large-scale consumer-facing environments, with the ability to establish standardized On-call and post-mortem mechanisms.
• Ability to guide the team in applying AI-assisted tools within engineering workflows (e.g., automation, troubleshooting) while balancing efficiency with risk control and security.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, capable of seamlessly participating in international technical reviews, cross-departmental meetings, and daily business communication.
